Biomechanical Examination
Our Team use a Biomechanical Examination as a tool to learn more about how your body moves. It can tell us about how joints and muscles are working, what your individual tissue ranges are, and where areas of pain may be. It helps our Podiatrists identify which structures are painful and how they respond to certain movements. We can then work together to find a management strategy that works best for you.
We strive to make movement uncomplicated. We use our Biomechanical Examinations to gain some insight into your unique movement patterns which can help us give meaningful advice on things like footwear, activities and exercise. We believe that the more you know about your body and the way you move, the more likely you will be to take part in an active rehabilitation process.
If you are experiencing Lower Limb Pain during movement or you feel you’re not moving as freely as you usually would, our Biomechanical Examination can help you understand why this is and more importantly what you can do about it.
What Biomechanical Examination can tell you
A Biomechanical Examination can help to tell you more about how your body works. We use it to collect data about muscle strength, joint range of movement and to find out simply which parts of your Lower Limb are painful. It allows us to test your tissue tolerance through certain movements and loading patterns. After a Biomechanical Examination we can work together as a Team to figure out the activities and movements that might suit you best during rehabilitation and work to get you back to the activities you love.
