Patellofemoral pain refers to pain behind or around the knee cap. It is commonly known as ‘Runners Knee’. It is very common at our clinics and our Podiatrists are best placed to help you manage this problem.
Symptoms can include dull, aching pain or grinding / clicking of the knee cap. This tends to worsen with running and can continue to ache following a run or long walk.

What our patients say
I had an excellent experience at Northernhay Clinic in Exeter. From booking the appointment through to the consultation itself, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The clinic is modern, spotless, and very calm, which immediately puts you at ease. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly without rushing. I felt genuinely listened to and well cared for throughout. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality private clinic in Exeter, I would absolutely recommend Northernhay Clinic for orthotics and any podiatry needs
