Custom CAD-CAM Orthotics
We use digitally corrected 3D foot scans and advanced CAD-CAM design to create bespoke orthotic devices tailored to each patient's biomechanical needs. All orthoses are designed onsite by Jonathan Palmer, giving full control over shaping, support, and mechanical precision. Orthotic therapy forms part of a wider treatment plan, with dosing, expectations, and usage discussed individually.

Jonathan Palmer BSc(Pod), FFPM RCPS (Glasg), FCPodM
Medical Director & Private Consultant Musculoskeletal Podiatrist
Jonathan has more than 30 years’ experience in musculoskeletal podiatric practice, including 20 years working with the Royal Marines and UK Special Forces.
He specialises in the assessment and management of foot, ankle and lower-limb musculoskeletal pathology, with particular expertise in exercise-induced lower-limb pain, complex biomechanical presentations and orthopaedic lower-limb conditions.
Jonathan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and a Fellow of the Royal College of Podiatry. He has lectured nationally and internationally and continues to work in private specialist practice as a Consultant Musculoskeletal Podiatrist and Medical Director of Northernhay Clinic.

Operations Director
Dominic is Co-Director and Practice Manager at Northernhay Clinic. He liaises with Hospitals and Rehab Centres as well as private patients. Dominic will make sure that your visit at Northernhay Clinic will be special and you will feel safe and looked after from the beginning to the end of your treatment. His keen eye for detail will make your visit at Northernhay Clinic a 5 star experience.

Northernhay Clinic is situated in the heart of Central Exeter and is easily accessible on foot, by car or via public transport.
Our facilities include two treatment rooms, a Gait Analysis Suite, a waiting room for our patients equipped with WC and our peaceful and well maintained garden.
