Exeter’s Specialist Musculoskeletal Podiatry & Orthotic Centre
Northernhay Clinic specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex foot and lower-limb conditions. We combine advanced gait analysis, biomechanical assessment, and modern orthotic design to deliver clear clinical reasoning and structured treatment planning.
What We Do
- Comprehensive Foot & Ankle Assessments
- Biomechanical and Gait Analysis
- Custom CAD-CAM Orthotic Design
- Assessment and management of common and complex foot, postural and lower-limb conditions (including plantar fasciitis)
- Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)
Custom CAD-CAM Orthotics
We use digitally corrected 3D foot scans and advanced CAD-CAM design to create bespoke orthotic devices tailored to each patient's biomechanical needs. All orthoses are designed onsite by Jonathan Palmer and Jack Boulter, giving full control over shaping, support, and mechanical precision. Orthotic therapy forms part of a wider treatment plan, with dosing, expectations, and usage discussed individually.
