Jack was inspired to train as a Podiatrist after he himself was a patient at Northernhay Clinic when he was 18. He had struggled with ongoing shin pain throughout his teens and his sport & fitness was suffering as a result. After seeing Jonathan and being prescribed Custom Foot Orthoses (that he still wears to this day) Jack was able to start enjoying his fitness again, without shin pain. Jack understands Podiatry treatments from a patient perspective and is passionate about our MSK Podiatry interventions as they have been completely life changing for him.

Jack loves trail running, climbing, surfing, swimming & resistance training. He and his wife Claire (also a Podiatrist) live in Exeter and love spending time together Hiking on the Devon Moors & Coastpaths.

Pain free!!!! After suffering from pain in the ball of each of my feet for 5+ years I finally decided to do something about it. I’m an avid hiker / trekker so walking and being active is a huge part of my life. Following an appointment and diagnosis of Morton’s neuroma I was fitted with a pair of custom orthotics and given a detailed plan of action. 2 weeks after my fitting I was in the Himalayas completing a circuit around the Annapurna range - pain free?! Thanks so much Jack and Northernhay Clinic for your excellent care and advice. As a result of your quick diagnosis and solution I was able to enjoy the trip of a lifetime without pain in my feet - a true gift!!!

I had an excellent experience at Northernhay Clinic in Exeter. From booking the appointment through to the consultation itself, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. The clinic is modern, spotless, and very calm, which immediately puts you at ease. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly without rushing. I felt genuinely listened to and well cared for throughout. I was recommended to see Jack by a friend after struggling with shin pain while running for as long as I can remember. The appointment was great, he really listened and reassured me. We came up with a plan together, he recommended some different footwear and I’ve now been running pain free for about 6 weeks. Would definitely recommend! Thanks team 😊

I had excellent advice from Jack at Northernhay podiatry clinic and the customised insoles that were made for me have transformed my foot comfort while hiking the SW and other challenging terrain. I had symptoms of both plantar fasciitis and Morton’s neuroma which have virtually gone, as long as I wear the insoles at all times. Very highly recommended!

I went to see Jack at Northernhay Clinic after being recommended by my chiropractor who told me i had overpronation and i also had cuboid syndrome from recently taking up running. Jack's clear, professional and friendly assessment quickly confirmed and he recommended orthoses for my shoes. I was able to run a half marathon soon afterwards with no concerns and no longer have any issues with my feet at all thanks to Jack's advice and am happy to recommend the services at Northernhay.

Jack was really helpful in diagnosing and expertly explaining my foot pain. In doing so, he helped me to understand that the discomfort I was feeling was nothing to fear and that movement was helpful. This change in mindset was transformative for me allowing me to complete a beautiful long distance walk. Really delighted with my thorough consultation, clear discussion of options and resulting treatment (custom orthotics) which virtually instantly eased my plantar fasciitis. My feet are now so happy and so am I. Highly recommend !!!
