Arthritic Pain

Arthritis is common in the Foot & Ankle, as we spend most of our lives standing, walking and running on them. Arthritis of the forefoot, midfoot and ankle are all quite common. Arthritis may develop as a result of age / use related ‘wear & repair’ or as a result of systemic / inflammatory conditions.

Ankle Sprains

Ankle Sprains are extremely common and while some are just bad luck, others may be a result of ‘Chronic Ankle Instability’. This is a condition related to Hypermobility of the Foot & Ankle, where the collagen in our tissues is slightly too elastic. This can lead to issues with control, balance and strength.

Tendinopathy is a condition of tendons that can result in pain, swelling and loss of function. This can occur at numerous sites in the Foot & Ankle. Tendon pain can be quite disabling and prevent people from taking part in the activities they love, whether that’s walking, running, dancing or competitive sport.
